Dragon Tanto by Logan-Pearce Dragon Tanto by Logan-Pearce
Name: Dragon Tanto
Blade: Ladder Pattern Damascus
Handle: Curly Maple

Dragon: done by :icondebbie-trotter:

After coming across Debbie's wood burning. I suggested her for a DD as I do with a lot of other talented artists on here. After a while I talked to into trying her work on something much smaller than a portrait. lol. I don't think she was really ready for a knife handle, but she was a trooper.

I like trying to promote people that are unknown and more so crafts that deserve to be known about. Not just bladesmithing or knifemaking. Of course, at the moment I am just me.

But! Once I take over the world, things will be different. :evillaugh:

Have a great Christmas, guys and gales!

And here I say what I think about your incredible works while knowing nothing of the subject.

Vision: I don't have any idea what this is referring to. Congrats, you get all five stars for it because science.

Originality: Let's face it- dragons are pretty dang overused in almost anything, but that doesn't make this unoriginal. I love the design of everything used here, be it the handle, the waves on the blade, or the fact that you actually made a knife. Like, dude. Awesome.

Technique: Flawless, really. Not a single details looks anything short of remarkable.

Impact: I certainly love this one more than your other designs (though not to belittle them!), and this is most certainly one I'd be proud to own should I ever get the time, money, and/or permission for it.

You've done an incredible job, as usual.

the knife is too good. needs to be less good. some of the work on the handle; is not bad enough. if the knife were worse, it wouldn't be this good. the knife should be heated and then left in a moist warm environment to make it rust and all nasty cause its really nice. on a scale of 1 to 10 of how nice this knife isn't: it's a 1.

next time, try not putting so much work into the knife. maybe cut corners or spare a few expenses cause the quality of this one is ridiculous. good job.

Amazing work.  Is there some liner layer of material under the curly maple or is that natural coloration?
