Because you're always there when I need you.

As always, I'm trying to make my bladed mistresses better with each passing day. Which means there have been some changes in my Rebar Knives. And for once my picture didn't come out half bad.

I went down a size in the diameter of the rebar I was using. Formally it was 3/4", where as now it is 5/8". Really it was an attempt to lighten the weight of the knife as a whole, while trying to balance out the knife at the same time. 3/4" was just too heavy at the end for my taste, it was almost like making a railroad spike knife. On those I am kind of limited on what I can do as far as balance goes. I don't want my Rebar knives to be like that.

Also, I changed the butt cap look a little bit. I was slowly progressing towards this look over the straight up and down look the others had. For some reason I really like this look.

They have come a long way from my first rebar knives. I think that I'm pretty satisfied with this look and feel.

Anyway:

Name: Rebar Knife
OAL: 10"
Material: Rebar
Available @ Uber Awesome Website for $35. I know, I know. It's like Christmas. :la:

I'm so close to being caught up that I could possibly explode with awesomesauceness. Then I'll stock my inventory back up and start working on some fun custom stuff. :iconyeehawplz:

Hey what type of fire did you use to heat this and what fuel did you use? Because I heard you can just use a campfire to heat the metal. Oh and what hammer and anvil did you use? I am thinking of forging one of my own.

I use a propane forge and a coal forge. My heat needs to get at least to 2,000F for the stuff that I do. Usually I'm around 2,500F. I have a 250lb anvil. I use 3lb, 5lb, and 10lb hammers as well as a 50lb power hammer.

love the flow of this knife logan! and the fact that you left alot of the rebar's natural character in the handle is a real plus!
