Also, if you want you can actually add me as a friend. I had a few people send me a message asking me if it is okay.
Silly, rabbits. Of course, you can.
The name Mako was inspired by FF7. If you played it you can guess why.
I thought I was only going to get one picture out of the deal. But! I was pleasantly surprised when I was informed that he was kind enough to take more pictures for me.
I'm pretty happy about that, makes me feel all special and stuff. Or maybe he always takes two and I just didn't know it. >.< Either way I thought I was only getting one, so I'm happy.
I've been working on building my portfolio of sorts to take with me to knife shows, since all of the cool kids do it. Well some of them do. I could literally spend at least 30 seconds at their table looking through all of the awesome knives that they made in the past.
And I was like. OMG *facepalm* I totally need to do this. *footspasm* But then~ I also want to hang my freakin sweet knives and stuff on my wall. This becomes a hard when I only have one copy of it. I know, I know, you're like geez just get two made. The second is hardly ever in as good quality as the first. Probably because I don't get them done by Chuck, but I just recently decided all this.
Which makes me want to ask this question. How good are the Prints that you get from DA? Obviously, your photo quality has something to do with it. Since DA has the whole print thing going on, I'll probably try it out for at least my Remnant knives. I'll need to take better pictures of my Remnants, but still. I'm also considering having Chuck take pictures of my main Remnant knives as well, since they get viewed more by knife collectors and get passed by more eyes than just me taking them.
Oh there is the fact that hes a better photographer too.
He probably uses cheat codes or something though.
Whew. Okay, didn't mean for this to become a journal, but as you know I usually update my 'status' in my knife posts. It's just easier than writing a journal, sometimes.
and! wtf is up with the post office?! Nazi's, I tell you. It could be just the one here, but man I swear they are taking a spring break as well.
My next posts will be Remnants, I believe. I'm going to try to take as good of a picture as possible. I'll then put more thought into sending them to the knife photographers. The only drawback I see about that, is yes knife collectors, makers, and publishers will at least have a chance to see them, but a lot of people look down on my Remnant knives.
Say it ain't so!
I'm sorry...I can't, because it is so. They hates us, precious! They hates us! Seriously though, I've seen how they treat/act about other people who have made knives similar to mine and it was exactly kind.
Plus I always get that person that is like 'OMFG, I tried to use the Rasp Cleaver
to file off the nails in the horseshoes on my horse. The blade cut me! and the rasp didn't even file the metal any.'
But in all seriousness. I know that its not that big of a deal. You can't make everyone happy. I'm usually just happy being my weird self and if people don't like it then, oh well. If it makes them feel better, I cut myself. Not intentionally, its just that I make a lot of knives, so I accidentally cut myself sometimes.
Geez, this is long. I almost feel sorry for you, if you read it all. But, within the Remnant posts, there will be another Damascus Rose and that is about all that I can update at the moment.Logan Pearce www.pearceknives.com
