I'm probably going to stop using my small Pearce stamp. I was thinking that maybe it was just the damascus or that I was just stamping material that was too hard for the stamp. It is an old one, which was why my stamp wasn't coming out so great.
So I ran it over this one while I had it heated up and it was still just as difficult to stamp, its normally not that hard.
Anyway, it's a knife out of a Pony shoe, which 'Pony' is actually stamped into the opposite side of the handle, by the manufacturer of this shoe.
This is one of my super awesome knives when I was a kid. I wanted something small that I could forge out that was more appealing than the nails that I made at that time.
Of course, now I've been considering not making a lot of them. I haven't retired this design/style/type like I have some of my others, but I may in the future. Who knows..
If it's as small as I guess, that would be a "cleavage knife". Worn as a necklace & hidden by ... Really popular in days gone & regaining popularity by knitters & steam-punk enthusiasts. Just sayin'.
It could definitely work like that! It's a pretty small knife. If it didn't have a mirror finish, I could see it having a neck sheath out of kydex, for it to be just like you are saying.
