Single 12' Rose

This was to be the middle piece of my metal rose collection. I had to make one of them a Kris knife and so I decided to make this one my kris dagger with an antique finish.

The rose itself is 3 layers of metal, two stainless steel and the one between copper. I wanted a small amount of contrast when I polished the petals.

You might be wondering why I put and antique finish on this knife. The reason I'm going with is because I want the three knives to each have a different finish. While that is true, it's only a small reason I did it.

The main reason is because my stamp is meeting it's demise. Over the past year, which you can pretty much go back through my knives and see how my PEARCE has flaws and continues to get worse and worse. At this point I am basically stamping ARCE, EAR, or ARC into my knives. When people start asking me why Ear made their knife, things get kind of awkward.

So I've ordered a new and improved stamp which I think will look awesome. I still have a few weeks before it comes in, but until then I'm slightly hiding my name in antique finished and whatever else.

I've wanted to play with antique finishes for a while, so this gives me a reason to. As for the other knives that I have in the making...I won't be finishing them until my stamp comes in, because I don't want to screw them up because of my name.
