Stag Skinner
OAL: 6 3/4"
Blade Length: 3 1/4"
Blade Material: 1080
Handle Material: Stag

I was playing with the metal blackening chems/coatings for my tactical knives. Ends ups this one was just cold blue. -.-' Still going through a few others. I'm trying to stay away from thick coatings. So far it looks like electrostatic is the only solid option for me. I've got one more to try and I'm really hoping that it goes better than everything else has.

Now all the bad stuff aside, I found the blade was good enough to compliment the stag. I put a red spacer material, because I like the way it looks with dark colors.

If you're interested in coatings you should try sending a couple out for titanium nitriding, it's the gold you see on drill bits etc. super hard finish good if one of your customers wants a carbon steel knife but wants corrosion resistance too. Can also be done in different colors, rose, black, silver (similar to chrome). One of your wrench knives would look nice that way with the gold. Just a thought. :) keep up the good work

Very nice. I love the grooves on the lower part of the spine, would make a great thumb hold. Don't know how I feel about the grooves on the upper part though.

Really like the look of this one, very utilitarian and nice lines. Will we see this one as "available" on your site soon?

Thanks, man! Naw, this one won't be making it on the Available Page. Everything I've been making has been custom orders, aside from Angon. Haven't had a lot of time to put into personal projects.

Right on, I was wondering where all of the wonderful blades in your gallery ended up since so few seem to be available to the general public... Guess I might need to see about getting on the list sometime...

A lot of custom orders. This isn't all of the ones I make though. It's really just the ones I get a chance to photograph and all of that. A lot of the time I have to ship it the moment I finish it, since I'm usually running behind.

So far the only thing that hasn't been a custom order was Angon [link] and that was because someone wanted to see what I meant by a forged finished. I try to keep my Available Now page updated and keep new knives coming in, sadly...
