It's true. You don't see many bowies coming out of my shop. Which is actually something that will be changing in the future. Once I'm caught up on my current orders, I will be putting some time into some traditional knives, since it's all the rave in my part of the world. That and people like big knives.

I've been pushing myself to do some hidden tang knives, since I hate doing them. I would loooove to have a line of Ceros knives as my signature hunting knife and some type of cool unique bowie. Which I'm trying to work out.

All of that is for next year though. Still! swords, bowies, hunters, and all that cool stuff will be my canvas in the future, for your viewing pleasure, of course!

Can I trust this blade to cleave through a Zombies neck or into its skull?

Is it wrong that the handle makes me think of a tootsie roll?

Nice job as usual, nice execution with the rasp texture on the flats, Al Pendray used to do a lot of 'rasp' knives, haven't seen much of them in recent years. Great job!

BTW I'm moving to Louisiana in the next month or two once I get settled I might just have to 'wander' up your way if you're open to an 'old guy' looking over your shop. :)

Thanks! I don't see a whole lot of people doing rasps anymore. I think the last person I can remember doing on is Keesler.

Oh very nice! You're welcome to come over. My shop isn't much, more like a speck, but you are welcome over any time. Just give me a heads up to make sure that I'm down there. ;)

Beautiful knife! I think I like the handle the most. I thought it was really fancy leatherwork at first. It's a simple looking carving, but it's still very impressive~

lol! The family that requested the knife would be a little upset about that. They've been waiting on this one for a while. The knife did come out better than I thought it would to be honest. I'm not so great at the whole hidden tang style. I've really been trying to work on that though.

This piece is just amazingly beautiful. How much would you have to have for this piece to part ways with it?

It ended up being $110 after shipping and everything. It just took me ages to make it, because the first handle I carved ended up breaking when I was nearly finished with it. So I had to redo it. lol.

Slick! i love that there is just a little bit of texture from the rasp, the handle looks like an antler that had to take a bit of skill!
